About Kwang Young Choi

financier and the first Chairman of KICB, serving from 2001 to 2019. Mr. Kwang
Young Choi was not only an exceptional banker but also an inspiring leader who
mentored multiple generations of professional bankers. Leading KICB for nearly
20 years, his knowledge and vast experience made KICB one of the leading
players in Kyrgyzstan’s financial market, symbolizing stability, reliability,
and innovation. After graduating from the Commercial College of Sogang
University in Seoul, Korea, he began his banking career at the Korea Exchange
Bank (KEB) and worked there for almost 20 years, including in the USA and UK
offices.
