Caution: fake apps!

Dear customers, the Bank wishes to warn you about an increase in fraud incidents involving malicious software (viruses). Attackers disguise them as various mobile applications, including "Fun-Sun," "Kyrgyz Concept Catalog," "Krugosvet Catalog," "Catalog of Houses," "Tunduk," and others.

Stages of the fraudulent scheme:

  1. Announcement: Fake social media pages are being created to advertise and sell specific types of services (for example, popular travel packages or real estate).

  2. Engagement: Customers follow an advertising link to WhatsApp chats. Fraudsters posing as company employees contact the victim, offer to sell tours, and persuade them to install a mobile app to access discounts or special offers.

  3. Malware installation: If the victim agrees and installs this application, a virus is simultaneously installed on their phone. It stealthily steals the victim's banking service logins and passwords and transmits them to the attackers.

  4. Final stage: After obtaining mobile banking login credentials, the attackers use a virus to activate remote control of the victim's phone. They remotely access the bank's mobile app and withdraw all the funds.

How can you protect yourself and your funds?

  • It is strictly prohibited to download and install mobile applications via links received in WhatsApp, Telegram, or other messaging apps.

  • Do not trust offers to install third-party programs in exchange for discounts, promotions, or access to exclusive catalogs.

  • Do not share your logins, passwords, or SMS OTP codes with anyone, and do not enter them into suspicious programs.

We urge you to exercise extreme caution! If you have already installed such an application, immediately disconnect your phone from the Internet and contact the Bank using the official phone numbers to block access.
