KICB continues its systemic support of the education sector, guided by ESG principles and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of the latest initiatives in this direction is a joint project with the National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic — the capital renovation and re-equipment of the cafeteria at the M. Gaparov Boarding School in the village of Gulstan, Nookat District, Osh Region.
The gymnasium serves 420 gifted children from socially vulnerable families. The goal of the project is to create modern, safe, and comfortable conditions for school meals — a vital element in students’ overall well-being and health.
As part of the project, the 233 m² cafeteria was completely renovated and re-equipped. The total budget amounted to 919,000 KGS. The funding made it possible to carry out all planned activities and provide the school with the necessary infrastructure. The new cafeteria now meets sanitary standards and offers a comfortable dining environment. Thanks to these improvements, students can now enjoy their meals in a bright, clean, and safe setting, directly enhancing their daily lives and learning experience.
This initiative stands as a vivid example of responsible partnership, centered on the interests and well-being of children.
The project aligns with KICB’s commitment to SDG 4 — “Quality Education,” aimed at ensuring inclusive and equitable access to education and improving learning environments for all.
Supporting such initiatives reflects KICB’s strong position on regional development, social responsibility, and investment in human capital. The Bank consistently implements projects aimed at improving quality of life and supporting the next generation across the country.
