Voluntary ban on taking loans
Voluntary ban on taking loans

To enhance security and protect from financial fraud, you can now set a self-ban on taking loans, a mechanism that came into force in Kyrgyzstan on November 1, 2025.
This service allows you to place a free «digital lock» on your name, preventing any financial institution from issuing loans or credit in your name.
How it works
You can enable or remove the self-ban at any time and free of charge through the government e-services portal or the Tunduk mobile application.
To activate it, select the service «Self-ban on credit», choose one of the credit bureaus -«Ishenim» or «Safe and Sound» - and confirm the action. The ban becomes effective immediately.
Cooling-off period
When removing the ban, a 12-hour cooling-off period applies. If you cancel your request during this time, the self-ban will remain active. This helps prevent fraudsters from disabling it after gaining access to your account.
Responsibility of lenders
Banks and microfinance organizations are required to check whether a self-ban is in place. If a loan is issued despite the ban, the contract is considered legally invalid, and the client is not obliged to repay the funds.
You can remove the ban in the same service - it will be deactivated automatically after 12 hours unless you cancel the request.
