History
For more than 20 years CJSC "Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank" has been providing customers with a full range of banking products.
KICB was established as a joint venture of Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED), German Investment and Development Corporation (DEG), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), International Finance Corporation (IFC) and German Development Bank (KfW) in 2001 with aim to promote economic development and attract foreign investment to Kyrgyzstan.
The Bank has introduced innovative financial products and services to meet the diverse needs of its customers.
Since 2012, KICB has begun to invest in digital infrastructure and services. It introduced online and mobile banking platforms and expanded its ATM network across the country.
KICB is increasingly focusing on promotion of sustainable development and social responsibility. The Bank has implemented initiatives to support projects on renewable energy, environmental protection and financial literacy programs, and is actively involved in women's empowerment through its various initiatives and partnerships.
During its activity, the Bank has been awarded such premiums as:
- "Bank of the Year" multiple winner - from the influential British magazine "The Banker" published by “The Financial Times Ltd”.
- "Issuer of the Year 2013" from the Stock Market of the Kyrgyz Republic as a distinction for issuing the first bonds of a commercial bank.
- "Best Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic" from "Global Financial Market Review"
- "Best Bank of Kyrgyzstan" according to "EUROMONEY"
- "The Best Commercial Bank of Kyrgyzstan" and "The Best Innovative Product in Retail Crediting" according to the international financial and analytical publication "International Banker"
- "Green Award" IBC (International Business Council) for achievements in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility
